Assign Problem Codes to Transactions

Meter reading problem codes indicate that there is a problem with a meter or its associated system. These codes can be displayed on the meter's screen or read through a diagnostic tool. Understanding these codes can help identify the specific issue and take appropriate action, such as contacting your utility provider.

The meter reader reports obvious problems with the meter during meter reading, i.e. broken meter, broken meter box tops, dead meters, buried meters, meter leaks, high/low consumption, meters found and not listed etc. These types of problems can be set-up here for use when logging transactions.

Once a transaction has been logged and saved, problem codes can be added to the transaction.

The Log transaction page can be accessed via Client Menu, then Select Log Transactions

Mandatory fields are noted with a *

Then search for the transaction by client name, start date and end date.

Once a transaction is found for the client, start date and end date, click the 3 dots to see pop-up menu. Select Problem. The transaction Problem Codes page will be shown.

If this is first problem being logged for this transaction, the report transaction problem page will be shown.

If this is not the first problem being logged for this transaction, the list transaction problem page will be shown, showing the problems that have already been added to the transaction.

More details can be added for High Read, Low Read, No Read and current read less than previous read problems.

To add problems from the list problem code pages, click Add problem button.

The transaction status must be open for any changes to the transaction. If the transaction was previous closed, no changes will be permitted and the page will only display the information that was saved in read-only mode.
