This page will be used to log transactions into the system when employees or meter readers phone in to report on the meter reading work, they have completed.
The Log transaction page can be accessed via Client Menu, then Select Log Transactions
Before a transaction can be logged, the user must search if the transaction for the client and the date for which the transaction needs to be logged has been entered or not.
If no transaction for the date and client exist, the transaction can be added. If a transaction for the date exists, the transaction will be shown.

The following information is required when a transaction is entered. Transaction Date, Area, Cycle, Book, Quantity, Transaction Type and Meter Type.
Click the   button to add a new transaction.
If the transaction is successfully added, the transaction will appear on the page within a table. Status of the new transaction will default to Open and a reference # will be generated.
More details can now be added to this transaction. Click the 3 dots to see pop-up menu. The pop-up menu will have the following options:
- Delete
- Skip Codes
- Penalty
- Staff
- Problems
- Comments
- Close Transaction
- Invoice
Click the   button to delete the transaction. Note, the transaction can only be deleted if it has not been Closed.
Click the   button to assign skip codes to this transaction. The skip code assignment page will appear. Please see next section on how to assign skip code to this transaction.
Click the   button to assign penalties to this transaction. The penalty assignment page will appear. Please see next section on how to assign penalties to this transaction.
Click the   button to assign staff/meter reader to this transaction. The staff assignment page will appear. Please see next section on how to assign staff to this transaction. Multiple staff can be assigned. Please note that in order to assign staff to the transaction, the user/staff must have been added to MeterSource. Please see the User Setup section for more details.
Click the   button to enter comments to the transaction.
Click the   button to close the transaction. Once the transaction is closed, no further changes can be made to the transaction.
Click the   button to generate the invoice for this transaction. The invoice will only be considered final if the transaction is closed. The invoice amount will be calculated based on the per meter bill rate times the quantity of meters reads read minus any penalties incurred during this transaction.
